Judith Okosun (Nutrition Advisor)

Judith earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Madonna University in Nigeria. She worked as a Detailer with Western Merchants for Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), where she built capacity in child health care and merchandizing. Judith worked as a HIV Counselor and Tester for Kaduna State Agency for the Control of AIDS through the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme, educating rural dwellers in northern Nigeria on universal safety precautions and prevention of HIV transmission especially from mother to child. 

She also worked with a Community Development Service (CDS) group to advance health education and promote adolescent reproductive health awareness and was awarded a certificate in peer education through the National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Project. She is currently working as a Medical Representative with World Wide Commercial Ventures Limited.

Through these experiences, she developed strong skills in community outreach, Social Work, communication and merchandizing. She also volunteers with ANAYD(African Network of Adolescents and Young Persons Development), and has been appointed as ‘Director of Logistics’. She also champions a ‘Pad-A-Girl’ campaign, aimed at providing adequate facilities to enable teenage girls and young women manage their menstruation in a healthy and dignified manner. Judith is generally passionate about the health and well being of people.
